I recently purchased a house and when the inspector came to look at it, I asked him about black mold. He said that all mold is black mold but there is only one strain that is dangerous.

This strain usually hides behind walls and it's very hard to detect. The mold that forms due to water from your shower is harmless, just be sure to clean it with a strong cleanser. Also, be sure that your shower insert is sealed to the wall at the top. Dripping water behind the shower insert can also cause hidden mold in the wall.

I was one of the unfortunate ones that renovated my bathroom and found the wall behind the tub was covered in mold. I feel better knowing that we removed the wall, tub and insert. The mold should be gone for now.
