if we are stuck in the past...

My sister accuses me of being "stuck in the past" since I am unable to get over my dad's suicide.
Then she usually changes the subject or walks away. She has truly accepted his death, while I never have.
My thing is, if I am STUCK in the past, doesnt that mean I am gonna need a little bit of HELP getting UNSTUCK?
I am sure I am not the first person to think of this statement, but it dawned on me the other day, and I thought it was accurate.
