Easter was a terrible one too. I remember the first easter after he died. I was not yet 6, but almost. I had my easter basket and was sitting in the hallway, waiting for my mom to take us to church. I remember feeling so ashamed, because I was not happy - and my mom had always said Easter was a very happy day.

I just sat in the hallway looking at the things in my basket, And that was the moment I very first realized that my dad was never coming back. Maybe I knew that if he wasnt there for something like Easter Sunday, he never would be there for anything else either.

Gosh, the memory of this particular day just rips me apart.
