crow

Posted by Shortelise on April 25, 2006, at 15:09:18

There is a tall conifer across the street from us. Some crows built a nest there, hidden among the branches, way high up. Last night, soneone, probably a racoon, must have stolen their eggs or their babies, and one of the crows has been calling since the early hours. It's so heartbreaking. The other crow has been flying back and forth, feeding the one that is mourning so vocally.

It is so sad. Lots of you probably don't like crows, but I do, despite their nasty habits.

And no, it couldn't be anything else. It is as I have written - their nest was robbed.

Poor things.
