Of course it makes sense! I don't want to belittle what you're feeling *at all* but I think that it is a fairly common feeling. Only you can judge whether you are in denial or not, perhaps with some help. Wether you are or not, if you are not ready to talk then don't force it. I know that some people will disagree, but I'm of the opinion that if something is helping you funtion (like denial) and it will not come back to haunt you in future, then there may be no point in bring it up. But if you do want to talk about it, then to do can only be a good thing.
