Jai,Many thanks for your kind sentiments.Yes, there are some terrific people on this board and I personally have have derived much from it over the years. To lose one's child in such circumstances as your partners is heartwrenching just to imagine as a stranger.
You are right of course, miracle cures do not exist-to be relieved of grief prematurely would be to deprive us of essential humanity.
I can accept the grieving process, within reason, and I shall have to learn to reconcile the image of a slain loved one with the person I cared so much about.
What will be harder to recocile is my current anger and untoward hatred toward those 'poor beleagured Iraqis', the majority of whom are 'crying out for freedom'.
Militants, agitators and murderers simply cannot function in a country without the tacit, even furtive, support the populace.Instead of crowing and bleating about the 'occupiers' they should 'rise up' and fight the scum who are intent on wrecking their country. They don't, because they are too bloody spineless.
These people should be left to their own devices to see just how they fare when they tear themselves apart.
Col. (not at all embittered...much!)
