My husband is Jewish, and my children are half-Jewish...

I've heard my husband say variously, "I was born a Jew", or "I am Jewish" with equal comfort.

I suppose it depends on how one has heard others use the word, "Jew", and whether they said it with respect or disdain.

Sure, others have abused the word through the centuries... but God meant it to be a wonderful word - to describe a people set apart to receive His fellowship and blessings in a unique way.

Reclaim the word. Wear it with pride in who you are, and how you're related to the Creator. Smile when someone else calls you that, no matter how they mean it. YOU know the truth.

Shalom, Dena
