Oh, Lou, you have no idea how badly I have hurt other people and others in general. I honestly believe there is a part of me which is pure evil. So, what I am saying, is that I don't want an eternal life where I would have the chance to continue hurting.
I want to be stopped. I don't look forward to everlasting life. Regardless if the "slate is wiped clean", I don't trust myself not to continue with my bad ways.
Can you understand that when I don't trust myself, I can't look forward? I can't look forward to a future here in this life. I certainly can't look forward to an EVERLASTING life. YIKES!!
Some people are good, decent people. Then there are others, such as myself. It is a good possibility that I am here for a comparison purpose. I can be used to compare others to show how well or how bad they are. A sort of Miller scale.
So, although true love means the simple wish for another's good, I send the wish to you for your everlasting life. That would not be a good wish for me. I don't want an everlasting life.
