seeing is believing

How good are you at reading symbolism?
When you read scripture do you see words or meaning?
Are you a letter-of-the-law believer or a spirit-of-the-law?

Here is a simple test to see if you are able to read symbolism. I saw this done at the pulpit one time and have never forgotten it.

Demo: Pretend or else take a stack of colored paper (7 or 8 primary colors) Cut out a few letters or numbers, one per color. In front of your group show each letter and have the group say out loud which letter or number it is. Repeat this and have the group yell out the color. If you are good at reading symbolism you will be able to say the colors. If not, you will only see the letters.
