Dear Sue,

Please forgive me for that one. That was really insensitive of me not think of how you might interpret what I wrote. I should have written "In my opinion..." I wasn't referring to you in any way. It's just that your clever screen name caught my fancy and I often say "my two cents worth..." It's a good reminder of why I should not post long after bedtime, and should always ask myself "How will what I'm saying affect someone else?" I ask your forgivesness for running roughshod over your feelings.

What I was trying to say is that I am offended by people in ministry who say verbally or non-verbally, "I have made it, I am mature and let me help you, you poor thing. Your mental illness is a result of your own sin or not following Biblical principles." To me, that is kind of what the Biblical satan's problem was - pride, wanting to be higher than God and others. Leadership requires genuine humility and a servant's heart- knowing that but by the grace of God there go I. The ground at the foot of the cross is level. We all need the love and grace so freely offered. I know I do.
Have I eased your concerns? I hope so, but know I'm not very good at expressing myself in writing.

Blessings,

Chris A.
