I don't feel that my medications ever made me feel more self confident. They have calmed me, stimulated me, caused to to sleep and get some rest... but they have not touched the loathing that underlies so much of my anxiety, and my depression.

What they have done has been to allow some control over the physical manifestations of my illness so that I have the wherewithall to learn skills that challenge the way I perceive myself.

I do have innate self confidence that's been submerged and diverted by depression and situational anxieties. I'm using this board to reinforce the skills necessary for that confidence to become a habit.
