My T said that eating just a little makes your metabolism go down. Eating nothing as I did for I think 4 days means your metabolism can just shut down, and you don't loss weight. It gets your metabolism all out of wack not to eat several times per day. If you ate 200 calories five times per day (sounds crazy), you would lose weight. It doesn't register really as ringing true, but it is true.
