I'm new here but feel like I know many of you from many years of lurking!
Please help me to figure something out. I am rather low motivation, a bit apathetic - but not too extreme. I know I'm missing something - part of my brain doesn't feel alive.
I have experimented with NADH - 2.5 mg. It makes me feel so alive the first day I take it! It is like I can think and am interested in things. The next day I take it again and feel the same. By the third day, it is like I'm craving even more of it! It is almost like a withdrawal effect. I am scared of getting to the point of having too much and getting irritable (I read Larry Hoover and Ron Hill's posts about irritability in the past while using NADH when they reached the point of needing to back off). By the third day I usually take less to keep from building tolerance or I skip it completely. Either way - particularly if I skip it - I am irritable and craving it and depressed! Do you guys think that this means I need more of it or that it doesn't work for me? Even taking Ginkgo I have had the same reaction - felt very alive and clear headed at first then almost craving when I didn't take it. So bizarre - after just two days of use it is like I'm hooked. I'm scared to take it a third day because I might really get crazy!
History - low dopamine in my family - mother has Parkinson's and even in earlier years she had apathy and low motivation. I can tend to obsess and be in low moods.
Please let me know your thoughts. I have learned so much from all of you and probably should have thanked you guys long before this!
