Hello all,
I just wanted to share a finding. Several months ago my daughter (21) was complaining of exhaustion which I attributed to her heavy academic load. After a while, I took her to the dr. for a general check up which turned out she was Vit D deficient. I also went online in search of something to ease her severe PMS, which I also have. I came across this supplement called Optivite. The reviews by users were compelling enough to make me buy a bottle. Funny thing is when you look at the content it just has your run of the mill vitamin supplementation. I figured it wasn't going to hurt and she began taking 3 pills a day (recomm. dose is 6). It was around 1 month when I saw her coming home and telling me she was going out (as opposed to crashing in her bed) and then she noticed that her PMS was barely noticeable. I decided to give it a try since I read that it also helped with pre/post-menopausal symptoms as well. I was hesitant to take them because the pills are rather large and hard and I knew they were going to upset my stomach. But they didn't. I began right before the beginning of my menstrual cycle, knowing all well that it wasn't going to do anything for me (since nothing does). Usually 12-10 days before my period, I am a mess and have been for years. This time, I was surprised when my period came because I felt no warning/symptoms. However, after a couple of months, I began to take it irregularly at first and then forget to take it at all; especially when I go on vacation. Well, guess who showed its horrid face this month, PMS and with a vengeance. I thought I had to go to the hospital because I was getting out of control. So I don't know why this work but I think the quality and synergy of these supplements do have an effect on hormonal imbalance. BTW, you can get it through Amazon or iherbs. If you are out of your wits end suffering with PMS, give this a try. It won't hurt.
greetings,
IHD
