Not illegal in most countries, as far as I know. But if you're down under, maybe. I hear lots of problems getting things into OZ. I'd be willing to try, though. Worst they could do is seize it. It's only about $12-15 an oz, and if you don't have a tolerance 5g or so will work. Let me know if you feel bold. I get it from a local guy, sells all sorts of interesting ethnobotanicals.
BTW I'm trying Tian Wang Bu Xin Dan for night sweats, insomnia, and restlessness. Night sweats are a major side-effect of Effexor (SNRI), but lately it's just ridiculous, like soaking my shirt and the pillow and the mattress. This is one of those things that Western medicine totally fails at.
It's weird, I tend to not get "sick", but I get TCM conditions that respond to the right herbs. It's very hot and humid now, so my Yin deficient (low oil in the lamp) tendency gets exacerbated.
I bought concentrated granules...mixed in water, wow, bitter as hell! The bitterness helps expel the Yin deficient heat. Lots of calming herbs too. Yin deficient heat is like hot flashes, and I have been getting those. Just sudden heat flowing through my body, sometimes I sweat, and then bam! it's gone. So strange...
