Morgan,
Thank you for responding. I'm not 100 percent sure what the half-life of kanna (or its primary psychoactive component, mesembrine) is, although I did read on one online forum that the half-life of mesembrine hasn't been determined. I do take it once a day, in the morning, with some of my other supplements and medications. I don't get the feeling like the kanna might be starting to wear off before I take it each morning. It seems to be pretty consistent in terms of the way it affects me over the course of a day. As I mentioned in my previous post, I have been cycling mood wise since I started the kanna, but the cycling isn't so rapid that I feel both "up" and "down" over the course of a single day. It's basically been the case as of late where I'd feel "up" one day and then "down" the next day. I'd say that I range from being 60 to 80 percent in remission when I'm "up" and 40 to 50 percent in remission when I'm "down." The cycling is kind of annoying, but as I've said, I still feel no worse when I'm "down" on kanna than I was feeling before I started taking the herb, so I'm continuing on with it.
I may try adding DHA to my combo in the near future.
