Unfortunately, they don't go away. I've been on Effexor for 7 months now and the sexual side effects are as bad as ever. My doctor has recommended Golden Root which is a natural herbal supplement. I've bought some but haven't tried it yet. Ginseng is also supposed to help but hasn't done a great deal for me.
You could, of course go one step further and try Viagra or Cialis - as long as they don't interact with any other medications you're on.
