Well, assuming the SAMe portion of the salt is an equivalent mass, the more typical SAMe tosylate (made with toluene-sulphonic acid) could be more toxic.

I've only seen one practitioner's impression that the more expensive stuff was superior, with not a bit of supporting evidence. Do you know of any evidence for superiority?
