Whey protein has more stimulatory amino acids in than inhibitory ones. Try reducing the dose, or dividing it up throughout the day, or taking it earlier in the day.
A far better version of whey protein is ImmunePro RX. The heating process in creating whey protein destroys parts of it and changes a lot of it. ImmunePro RX is the real unheated unchanged stuff with many more benefits missing from common whey protein. Rice or hemp protein powders are alternatives to whey if whey doesn't agree with you.
Where did you get the recommendation that whey would speed up surgical healing?
