Hi, if taking 5-HTP gives me heartburn, will tryptophan do the same?
I read somewhere that tryptophan does not get converted to serotonin until it is past the gut. If that's true, then I'm less likely to experience heartburn from tryptophan, right (assuming that the heartburn was a result of stimulating serotonin receptors in the gut)?
Also, from past experiences, prozac also causes heartburn for me. What does that mean, that anything that increases serotonin will give me heartburn as well?
Thanks!
