case report of SJW overdose *trigger*

This is the first case report in the medical literature (as far as I know) of an unambiguous case of SJW overdose. The subject both chronically and acutely OD'd, and presented with confusion and seizures. The doses involved here are less than those I've seen reported in early clinical trials of SJW for its antiviral activity (HIV trial), which were 22,000 mg/day. I have in the past reported no known UL on SJW intake (not that I've ever recommended megadoses), but this report does put something of an upper bound on intakes (she took 15,000 mg, approximately, after loading doses of up to 4500 mg/day).
