Okkkkk -
I'm a bit of an expert on this. When we moved to Chile I had to make the decision of either having a social life and staying out late or going to bed early and having no friends.
Also I like my drinks, although I only really tend to overdo it on the weekends, and even then I try not to tooooo much.
So, alcohol is really bad for sleeping I found. In other words, you get the initial 3-4 hours sleep then WAKE UP, and can't get back?
This is my post-alcohol regime:
100mg thiamin (B1)
25mg B-complex
1g vitamin C
500mg NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine)
magnesium 200-300mg (not oxide)
calcium 100mg (optional, depending on your magnesium status normally (are you supplementing?))WORKS WONDERS. I usually recover much more readily and to be honest the B1 seems paramount in allowing me to sleep normally.
Obviously the best way is to refrain, but then there are the weekends.
