i just read this that cogentin was added geodon and TD went away.. maybe it will help me... but what on earth is a anticholinergic psychosis? i dont wanna have that. should i add cogentin to my med combo wich is seroquel 100 AM 200 PM (im much better then on 400 MG) Seroxat 30, unit tranxene 15 mg
so should i start a cogentin therapy or will it throw myself into major psychosis?its worth a try maybe the tics will go away like in this case.... as last resort i will try Clozapine :(((((((((
To counteract the Geodon and 'test' whether he had TD, the doc prescribed Cogentin (used for Parkinsons patients). In three doses, this drug (or the combo of the two) sent him into a major drug reaction - anticholinergic psychosis. Thankfully the TD faded away, but he began to have seizures within 6 weeks and still has them daily over two years later.
