Ibogaine, from what I've read, is pretty promising for addiction treatment. I dont think DMT has receieved as much attention, but I imagine it would be useful as well. Even LSD has been used somewhat successfully for treating addictions--mostly alcoholism, during the 1950s-60s, while acid therapy was legal--so it seems that the entire group of drugs has some promise in this regard. Ibogaine, though, can be kind of tricky--it can cause brain damage and death in some instances, so I think it might be a better idea to stick with LSD, DMT, etc...most hallucinogens are incredibly potent, but also incredibly safe.
