Type in pka,pkc and ocd at yahoo search.There is new research that says PKA is hypoactive and PKC is hyperactive in OCD and other forms of mental illness.Stimulation of the T2c Se receptor makes OCD worse.PKC activation by DAG inhibits the reuptake of SE.This prolongs the signal that promps you to wash hands ect.Se must be removed from the synapse for a brain signal to be terminated.The signal is generated in the caudate and felt in the orbitol frontal cortex.Atrophy of the OFC is seen in OCD.Cutting the connection between the cingulate gyrus and the OFC can stop OCD.The brain signal overides the OFC and it cannot stop the OCD.AS long as the signal is being generated you cannot get it out of your mind.The OFC promps you to do things ,like wash your hands ect.You can have OCD with your Panic attacks but it can go away with the panic.I had some bad OCD but it stoped when the panic stoped.I belive that fish oil and lethicin can rebuild the brain and effect genes.I belive in it.
