DHEA is a hormone that is erleased by your adrenal glands. Here it is sold OTC whereas in many (most?) countries it is sold only by prescription... just like testosterone is sold only by prescription over here.

(A) First of all, do some research on DHEA, find out what it is about, what it does, what it's side effects are (it might counter the med you are currently on for example), and whether it's MAYBE for you... and then

(B) Get a salivary hormone kit (online) and do a DHEA test to see exactly what your DHEA levels are. They may very well be fine. They might even be high. So taking too much DHEA (if you're female) could result in some (likely) unwanted androgenic effects... like facial hair, body (chest, back) hair, coarse hair, coarse "manly" voice, etc., etc. Or if you're a male it could end up converting to estrogen (especially estradiol, E2) if your testosterone levels are already good... and you end up with estrogen dominance and all sorts of problems (loss of libido, feminine characteristics most fondly known as "b&%#h t*ts", etc., etc.).

Don't take drugs just based on what you read someone else is doing - even if it;s working well for THEM (we are all individual), nor hormones, nor even vitamins and minerals for crying out loud (my wife and I take different multi-vitamin & mineral combos because her iron levels are fine but I have somewhat higher levels so I don't need any extra iron supplementation - in fact, it's a good idea for me to avoid it).
