What does GINSENG do for you?

Earlier today, I went into a store looking for a can of iced tea from the refrigerated section. Every single iced tea had Ginseng added, and a few of the brands had some other herbs added. All I wanted was plain iced tea without all the herbs. Do any of you take Ginseng? If yes, why do you take it? What does it do for you?
