It is hard to find the information you seek, because the flavonoids in question are usually discussed by their specific chemical name, rather than by the more general term.
There are a number of flavonoids associated with mood elevation, and also a number of theories about why that might happen. I favour a reduction in oxidative stress, as flavonoids are usually potent antioxidants. However, research has not excluded possible receptor-binding effects, or other regulatory effects mediated within cells.
It is my belief that your experimental findings, that this flavonoid helps your sense of well-being, is an important thing for you to know. And, thank you for sharing that with us.
I hope your circulatory problems are similarly improved.
