Hi Jan, I tried kirkman's idebenone which made me feel worse, I might try thorne's one next.I've found recently that a few supplements go off well before their use by date - particularly the ones that are methylated ie SAMe, carnitine, coQ10 and creatine. I tried carnitine by ecological formulas yesterday and felt wonderful - over the last few years I've tried 3 or 4 different brands with either no effect or a negative effect. I've just ordered allergy research's coQ10 and I'm going to see if it feels different from the 'pure' one which didn't suit me. Incidently, coq10 is not just made from cholesterol, it's made from tyrosine too....quinones are made from tyrosine.
CoQ10 works in the electron transport chain in the mitochondria and I think it also stabilises the mitochondrial membrane - keeping the mitochondria working is so important to avoid initiation of apoptosis in tired cells.
Have you heard of nattokinase? It's really good at improving circulation when our blood becomes too thick (hypercoagulation).
