For me, it depends on the brand. For months I took Trader Joe's brand, which is recommended by Andrew Stoll, M.D. I saw no improvement -- ever. Earlier this summer I started using Twinlab's MegaTwin EPA, and I noticed subtle improvements in mood within a couple of days and a marked improvement in physical symptoms such as joint pains within a week or so. Recently I ran out of the Twinlab brand, and when I couldn't find it in the store, I bought Nordic something-or-other to replace it. I don't like the way I feel on it at all, and I regret having spent all that money on it. I will continue to try to find the Twinlab MegaTwin EPA.
