In reply to Libido issues..., posted by Indie on July 24, 2004, at 13:04:44
> I have a female friend who is suffering libido issues. She has no depression, anxiety or other issues (one of the lucky ones) she just has no libido. Of course this issue is not making her boyfriend very happy. She was diagnosed with narcolepsy years ago, but has been off of stimulants for a couple of years now without problems, so I think the diagnoses is questionable.
>> Does anybody know of any natural remedies that might help. She is a bit sceptical of taking anything other than vitamins, including herbs and amino acids, but she is getting desperate for something that might work.
Maca is supposed to be good for men and women.
It's an adaptogen so it would balance her hormone levels. The only place to get it is Whole World Botanicals on-line. That's what the best holistic doctors here recommend.
(DHEA would probably help more dramatically but it would increase her male hormone levels. A lot of doctors recommend taking this hormone for libido problems.)
