I started with 100 mg and worked my way up to 300 mg in 3 divided doses of 100 mg over the day. The only effect I have after 2 months of consistent use is severe nausea every day, even with the divided dose and no antidepressant effect whatsoever.

>Marty,
I meant to respond to your posts on the other board today but Dr. Bob redirected you first. I was very surprised that no one over there was alarmed at the possibility of serotonin syndrome. (Larry, of course, was on it right away once he heard about the clomipramine.) Though clomipramine does not have exclusively serotonergic activity, it does have strong 5-HT reuptake inhibition. You are playing with fire here. MUCH TOO MUCH SEROTONIN!! That is probably why you feel so sick. This can be DEADLY! Literally. (You may already know this but I wanted to make sure.) You might want to contact Linkadge on the regular PB board who landed in the hospital by combining too large of a dosage of an SSRI with a serotonergic herb. Please be careful.
