Panic attack from homeopathy?

Posted by Chris O on April 1, 2004, at 1:41:27

I just had a horrible reaction to, I think, a homeopathic remedy. A naturalist in San Diego (Dr. Mark Stengler) prescribed it to me. On the bottle it says, "serotonin." I took one half droperful and within an hour I was feeling the racing heart, the suffocation, just like horrible, like I might just fall down on the ground and be incapacitated. Is such a thing possible from a homeopathic remedy? It's so frustrating.... I've tried just about every non-pharmaceutical supplement out there for my anxiety with not much luck. This (naturopath/homeopathy) was going to be my last option before just using SSRIs indefinitely. Has anyone here had a homeopathic-induced panic attack, or any other kind of bad reaction to homeopathy?

Thanks,
Chris
