It is an experience apparently restricted to rodents. In the limbic system, the amygdala and septal region interact. In some species, lesions of the septal region induce disinhibition of aggression. In other species, the opposite occurs. There is no evidence that I can find that septal rage occurs in the family of primates.

It takes both (and more). You can't isolate one area of the brain like that, and still make sense of how it all works together.

Theta rhythms are a specific frequency of brain waves. Like part of a metronome in the brain. The interaction with the hippocampi is complex. Why do you ask?

All that shows is that orgasm is not a genital/spinal response. Direct stimulation of the brain can produce probably any experience you can imagine, and more you can't. That research occurred at a time that frontal lobotomies and such were still taking place. It's an historical aberration, and not an ethical practise under today's more enlightened standards.
