I truly don't understand. I thought the new paradigm was that people were supposed to use their shields when met with incivility. You think that vulnerable people who use your mental health site should use their shields when met with incivility because it's good for them, if I understand correctly.
Is it not in your own best interests to learn to tolerate a bit of incivility? Remember your shields, Dr. Bob.
I feel very guilty. Twinleaf has been very supportive, and in part her words to you were still being supportive to me. And I've said far far worse to you without sanction.
I know "fair" might rate comparatively high on my list of values. But I honestly don't understand the policies of this site. Even if you have decided to suspend the civility rules towards some posters, for some reason known best to yourself, why not extend that to Twinleaf? If it's in the best interests of the site to have some posters learn to cope with being called pricks, is it not in your best interests to deal with the fact that people really are having a difficult time figuring out the current policies of this site? Why is that even uncivil? I will tell you flat out that if this site has fair and uniform standards, then I must have some sort of understanding deficit.
