Thanks to those who offered advice re my situation.
But I'm happy to say that with the help of Dr Bob the problem was fixed, and I'm able to post again. I know you are all super-thrilled to hear this and are now planning a party in my honor with a delicious cake decorated with capsules of Vistaril, my new favorite drug :)
On a steady diet of soda pop and Ritalin
