In theory, there is a choice.
But only in theory
For some this board is a lifeline
and it takes a while before the discrepencies
are noticed. Leaving or having an unfair
block can be traumatizing- after all people with mental health issues are among our most vulnerable.
I barely post anymore, but I do always say something when I see what I think is an unfair
judgement by Dr. Bob. I don't expect change
but when this board was my lifeline it meant the world to me to be defended.This website is comparable to any RL social group, people make friends here, and to be reminded to just shut up or leave after a disagreement (or a few) is as potentially devastating as it would be anywhere else.
