Hi Tony,
Well I've only been here since 2004, but I don't know of an automatic way to do that. That doesn't mean it never existed or still doesn't, but I'm not aware of it, either. Mostly when I see people who do choose to reveal their actual emails in posts, they just type them in under their names, or anywhere in the body of the post, really, and they will become clickable once you submit the post.
As for Babblemail, it's a way to communicate with posters through this site, while keeping your actual email private. It's not too hard to use. Just open any post of the person you want to Babblemail. If they have the feature on (like you do right now) their posting name will appear in blue. Click on it and a Babblemail window will open where you can type a message to them. When you click the button "Send Babblemail," the message will be automatically sent, by the server, to the email address they gave when registering on PB. Neither party will see the other's address.
Please let me know if I can answer something more, or if this didn't help.
Sounds like a "welcome back to Babble " is is order :-)
