"Polls....I would like to see polls in here without comments just yes or no to get a feel on a new idea someone may have for the site..or Dr Bob may have. Sometimes people can feel as if they are being told they are wrong if you do not agree with them or that you dislike them. I have also seen some people state over and over the same points when saying them once would do thus they are trying to change minds not add something new to the idea. Maybe a poll after an idea has been kicked around for a while as long as only new points have been made by all not just the same one or two pros or cons"

Good points ! A majority of the people viewing these pages never post. A minority post and fewer than that post about admin issues. So a very few seem to speak for everyone. I think polls would be a good idea. They might be a way to see what the silent majority thinks. I notice Dr Bob often mentions hit counts and pages viewed to indicate the success and growth of this board. To continue growth the opinions of the majority need to be known. We all now well know where the vocal posters stand on many issues. How about the other 75% of posters ?
