Specifying Search parameters

Posted by Jost on October 5, 2006, at 20:56:18

Is there any way to limit searches when using the search box for the Dr-Bob website?

For example if I want to check what someone has said in the past on a subject, to prevent saying something really insensitive or off-base, given their prior experiences, or things in the past that have a bearing on the current issue.--I have a lot of difficulty doing it.

Or if I want to review something I partly remember, or know if my point has already been been raised, and so on.

Search requests (as I do them) yield lists without any priority of relevance, or date. It's often hard to determine if there's anything germaine and to know whether to go further. Also, every post in a thread often appears, which may make sense-- but also is hard to fast forward through.

So I wondered: is there date or relevance ordering?
