If you'd like, I could be obsessed with you?

;-)

Having been the target of a couple of obsessions -- mostly in real life, some shortish term online experiences, though, too -- it's not comfortable. In the case of the real life experiences -- well, the only answer is very frightening. It wasn't fun, and I hope that it never happens again. It turned quickly into a situation in which I could NEVER feel as though I could let my guard down, at all, ever. Sleep was not easy, and showering got complicated. (For a while, I had to have someone come over and stand outside the door, I was so frightened.)

Online, it was easier in a lot of ways. One of the online stalkers, though, got my home address and telephone number, and my work information. THAT was scary. The other online obsessives, though, were mostly just annoying. Mind you, because I'd experienced the real life stuff, that added to the difficulties of the online experience. Mostly worrying that someone was going to show up on my doorstep...
