ok so the stuff in the FAQ is about when everything is new. i think that is right... when everything comes up with a new indicator but it shouldn't.

i'm not getting that problem, i'm getting the opposite problem of not having any new indicators even though some posts ARE new.

i deleted my cookies and my temporary folders.

the problem isn't just with babble it is with hotmail too.

in hotmail you get 'todays messages' or somesuch. mine don't come up there anymore (like they used to) but i find i have unread messages in my inbox - but they aren't shaded anymore. they don't seem to have anything to indicate that they are actually new messages.

with babble (after deleting cookies and temporary folders) i go to a page and everything is new. then i refresh the page and all the new indicators go away. then i refresh the page again and i see that there ARE new posts on the board but there aren't any new indicators.

the links i've followed are a different colour (purple instead of blue or whatever) but no new indicators on new posts.

so... if it is remembering which links i've clicked on why doesn't it remember that wsn't there before and put a new indicator on it?

thought it might help to save cookies to theserver and log on and off. but that isn't working for me anyway. i'll get new indicators of new posts from the time i logged off... but no new indicators for new posts in the time i am logged on.

i'm using internet explorer on windows XP.

any suggestions gratefully received...

(if i ignore you its probably cause i didn't spy the new post)

ak!
