You aren't being dim. I was here a long while before I got the courage to ask that question... Babblemail is a way to send / receive email to / from Babblers without disclosing your email address. Near the top of this post that you are reading now my name appears as a blue link. That means that my Babblemail is turned on. If you wanted to Babblemail me then you would click on that link and you can send me a Babblemail from there. You just send it to the server (I think thats right) and the server sends it to the email address I registerd with and you don't see my email address.
To enable Babblemail follow the link and fill in the stuff to update your registration. From there you can change your Babblemail setting to 'on'. You might want to update your email address too...
