Those are good questions. And important statistics. In July 2002, I did a little survey of (just plain) Psycho-Babble. The first 100 posts fell into 39 threads, 4 of which were "dead ends".

Another aspect of statistics like these is that they could be used to compare different boards. Or the same board before and after a change in policy (regarding, for example, designated greeters).
