That's exactly what I would suggest too. Most of the forums I'm a part of use that method and it works great. This way everything can be dealt with behind the scenes. I've seen it done two different ways. The first is a button that basically would do a babblemail. This is how I've seen most forums do it. The second way is a button that would flag a post, and if a certain number of people flag it then it gets reported. This is how Craigslist.org does it. Either method works very well.

> I think that would make the whole thing much better. The admin boad, complaints / requests for civility rulings aside, does have a useful function. Discussing the way the board runs, additional functions, ideas for extra boards etc is really good, and being able to discuss those ideas with the whole community is a really useful method to finding solutions. Such as this discussion!

I completely agree. I don't think anyone should close this section. It really does serve a good purpose [other than all these interesting posts (that's the nicest way I can put it) over the last week or so]. I've only been on here a few weeks and this is the section that has helped me get a good feel for what's acceptable and what isn't. Rather than me opening my big mouth (which happens often!) and finding things out the hard way, I've been able to use things discussed in this forum as a gauge to what I can and cannot say.

And this is a great place to ask questions if you don't understand something. It's so much better to have an open forum where questions of a technical nature can be asked rather than emailing Dr. Bob (or a deputy) every time. The poor guy has a life and a job. If someone else on the forum can answer a question, that's works fine for me.

This section definitely needs to stay put. :-)
