I haven't done it to my knowledge. I thought it was a problem in composing and sending the original babblemail message rather than replying to someone else's.

No, with email you usually have a record of what you sent to whom. Babblemail is not something we have the ability to keep track of. Composing the message in Word doesn't really help unless you write it like a letter, with "to", "from", and any "cc's". But then you still have to send the mail to the correct people...
