If coziness is your goal, will there be couches and what time will tea and cookies be served?
I haven't read every post in this thread, but almost all of them. Dinah sure has passion on this subject. For the record, I agree with her whole-heartedly with EVERYTHING she has said.
I think this is the most horrible idea yet, especially given that everyone here is assumingly dealing with mental health issues. Nice way of showing support to ALL who post here. NOT!!! I don't even agree with the set-up of the newbie board. I have participated in several msg boards on the net and this is the ONLY one that has a newbie board that excludes the majority of posters from welcoming the newbies. That is a real good way of letting them feel supported. This whole situation REEKS!!!
I guess I don't understand why you are so adament of going through with this when you have so much opposition to it. It's obviously a dictatorship so why bother even wasting everybody's time even discussing it to begin with. I personally believe that you have had your mind made up since the beginning and it really doesn't matter what anybody says. You maybe trying to convince them that it does, but I think we are all smart enough to see through that . . . There are already posters who are talking of leaving PB altogether so you are robbing the rest of us their companionship and support. Is that what your goal is, to drive people away? That most certainly will make social a smaller board, won't it?
