Commentary about changes to Med Board

Posted by Glydin on December 10, 2004, at 9:30:31

While I don't think it's altogether a bad idea to divide the med board in some way, I'm not sure combo versus single med questions, comments, etc. would serve the majority of folks who post to the med board. Many folks will post questions or comments about a single med but this is generally in context to adding and posting the additional meds they are taking. Thus, most appear to be on, technically speaking, combos.

Very few posters appear to me to be monotherapy these days. I am, but find myself a bit of an exception.

I'm not sure how to help the congestion of the med board. My first thought was a division (as some other boards) of disorders or drug classes, but I'm not sure that's a good solution for the clutter. Plus, I don't believe it would be well received as a change to "how *we* do things here". I do think the "busy" nature of this board can lead to ineffectiveness in getting questions addressed and support given. Again, I have no good solution to offer as a suggestion to the one you proposed.

Got me on what to do, but that's my 1/5 of a dime.
