I was not talking about you when I was talking about good losers and gracious winners.
I was talking about the general political atmosphere, where the attacking continues long after the election. Both "sides" are at fault, with one faction declaring that the other was 'uninformed' and the other one declaring that they now have a 'mandate' and so on, and so on forever.
And the implication that 'if you don't agree with me you must be a moron (traitor, child molestor, etc, etc)' bothers me. Even if, for argument's sake that were true, constantly declaring it is counterproductive. It's time to move on.
I do have to admit that (as a social liberal) I am really worried about the Supreme Court. I am afraid that he will use the court as a way to pay back the far right fringes that helped put him in. But - hey - accidents happen. I was worried about Souter and he worked out to be wonderfully apolitical.
But anyway, I was talking about the general atmosphere, and certainly not you. From you I haven't seen even a hint of a gloat.
