I agree with the spirit of your request!Folks, it does seem that too much energy gets expended on some of the arguments here.
Yes, this board is important to many. But if you sweat too much of the small stuff, how can you get the big work done? Frankly, some of the arguments and extendo-requests and multiple nitpickings here on admin seem very petty and childish. It's because of this kind of nitpicking that I've been staying away a lot lately. It just doesn't seem healthy or fun to be here anymore! Like H. suggests -- the 'real world' is a pretty cool place to hang out! And when my blood pressure rises from the arguments here, I know it's time to get off the computer for a while.
I don't mean this to be an attack on anyone. I honestly like many of you and enjoy reading posts and being part of discussions. But over the past few months I've noticed a distinct and disturbing trend to ire and mean-spiritedness here.
I hope this gets better....I'll keep checking periodically....and hope to find a sweeter place in a while.
